The PetSafe Factory Grade Lightning Protection Module protects your investment by taking the hit in the event of an electrical surge. The module is installed between the power outlet and your dog fence transmitter box with the boundary wire running through the module en route to the transmitter as well. Should lightening strike near your boundary wire it can run back up the wire and into your transmitter box causing major damage. The Lightening Protection Module shorts out before the electrical surge can damage your transmitter box.
The PetSafe Lightning Protection Module is easy to install and compatible with all electric dog fence systems.

Recommended for installations over two acres and especially those in lightening prone areas, the Lightning Protection Module protects your in-ground electric dog fence against damage caused by electrical surges. Installed between the power outlet and your transmitter/control box, the module will short out in the event of a lightning strike stopping the surge from reaching your transmitter unit.
