  1. Just what I was looking for Review by Alan J.

I have been using this product for about 3 months now on my 10 month old boxer. The instructions were very clear and since I've never owned a pet before I really appreciated the training tips. We already have 4 commands down and he responds to pretty much the tone only most of the time unless learning a new command. I highly recommend.

  2. What a Great Product Review by Jeremy P.

I have been able to train my dog without worry about the pond we go to or an occasional downpour. Awesome product! (Posted on 4/21/2013)

Comment / Questions about SportDOG YardTrainer 105 Stubborn Dog Remote Trainer

Hi, I have a Great Dane puppy (about 7 months and nearly 100lbs) who has killed 3 of my chickens. Tying the dead chicken around his neck is not working. Will this work? I'm at the end of my rope.

Yes. Choosing the right collar and setting the appropriet correct correction level will work like a charm. There are several options to choose from. A wired system, remote trainer system or wireless system. Please contact one of our Senior Dog Tech for details. We will ask you a few questions regarding your goals for your Great Dane puppy and then show you the perfect solution. Your Pet will be safer and the chickens will live. Thanks for your interest in FLEXPETZ. I am looking forward to your call.

I am trying to keep my alaskan eskimo out of my other dogs' house. He continually chews up their bed. I am looking for something to shock him when he approaches the dog house.

The Alaskan Eskimo is a beautiful dog. I used to have one as a kid. I understand your situation, and have a good suggestion for you:

My recommendation would be to get one of the PetSafe Pawz Away outdoor pet barriers, and a PetSafe YardMax collar (which is the more reliable of the two compatible collars for that barrier).

1. The PetSafe Pawz Away outdoor barrier can work as a stand along barrier (which emits a circular boundary up to 16 feet in diameter) or you have the option of connecting up to 150 linear feet of wire to 2 wire terminals on the barrier, which would create a loop that you could shape to your liking. You could turn up the range of the boundary coming off the wire, in 2 foot increments, and encircle the "off-limits" dog house.

2. The barrier's signal communicates with a static correction collar that your Alaskan Eskimo would wear, and it would emit a correction whenever he gets within range of the boundary's correction zone. There are two collars that work with the Pawz Away barrier. One is the lower quality collar, the PetSafe Pawz Away collar (model # RFA-377). The good quality collar is the PetSafe YardMax collar. It's rechargeable and should last for years without issue.

If you wanted an inexpensive spool of wire, from which to create your loop on the barrier, you can find our smallest length spool of boundary wire HERE.

I hope this helps, but if you'd like to discuss solutions further, please feel free to give us a call anytime.
