Motorola Wireless Fence For Dogs 10-150 lbs

A great way to keep your pet from wandering out of your yard, the Motorola Wireless Dog Fence is also ideal for use at your campsite, or other areas while traveling. This portable containment system is simple to set up and convenient to use as you don’t have to worry about burying wires. It is also a great solution for you if you plan on moving house sometime in the future.

Wondering how it works? The transmitter emits radio signals which are able to communicate with your dog’s collar receiver. The signal is cast in the form of a circle. Once the dog approaches the edge of the containment zone, the collar senses it and begins by giving your dog a warning tone. If your dog continues going forward, he will receive a static correction. As a safety feature, if your dog remains outside of the boundary zone for more than 30 seconds, the collar will stop giving him a correction.

Its handy carrying case keeps all you need in one convenient location. You are able to set up a containment area in any location you wish, including indoors. This makes it a great solution for your home and for when you travel with your pet.

Depending on how often the fence is used, the battery life on the transmitter is 48 hours and the battery life on the collar unit is up to 96 hours. Its included power adapters will have your rechargeable batteries up and running in no time.

Although this system only comes with 1 collar, it is able to handle up to 2 dogs. You would simply need to purchase an additional Motorola wireless collar.

The Motorola Wireless Dog Fence is able to contain an area that is 1 acre or less in size. Wherever you have placed your transmitter becomes the center of your containment circle. From this center point, the boundary is cast 150 feet in any direction.

The Motorola Wireless Dog Fence Collar offers 15 levels of static correction, in addition to its warning tone and vibration modes.

Considerations for a wireless fence:

• You should have minimal landscaping
• There should be no aluminum or stucco
• Any metal buildings or large vehicles should be excluded from the boundary area
• Severe sloping can interfere with the wireless signal

  • RF technology: 2.4GHz
  • Correction mode: 15 static levels, warning tone and vibration
  • Expands up to 2 dogs with additional TRAVELCOLLAR50
  • Collar battery: Rechargeable Li-ion
  • Collar battery life: up to 96 hour depending on usage
  • Fence unit battery life: up to 48 hours depending on usage
  • Operation range: Up to 150 feet line of sight
  • Collar strap: grey nylon 3/4" wide, fits necks up to 23 inches

    System Includes:
  • 10" boundary flags 50 pack
  • Black travel bag: 10.75" x 5.5" x 5.5"
  • Adapter
  • S contact points
  • M/L contact points

  1. Great wireless system for the price Review by Jb

Good stuff. This is the second time that i have purchased. First time i got one for my aunt, as a gift. She loved it, so I ended up getting one for myself. Samething -I'm happy with it. I was hesitant about ordering it in the first place, but it has such good reviews. Wireless systems aren't usually recommended, but this one does the trick. (Posted on 3/22/2017)

  2. I bought this on a whim, and am pleasantly surprised at its performance. Review by Chris

I have a wired fence and just wanted to get something that I could take with, when the kids and I go on vacation in our RV. We like to take our dog with us, but obviously a wired fence can't be taken along.
We got the Motorola wireless fence because it's easy to pack up and take wherever we go.
The system is rechargeable and that is perfect. We can setup a new little play area at any location. We just need to use the flags every time. That way our dog knows where his new area is.
So far so good. We took it with us to grandma's ranch and everything worked great.
The system was a bit costly, as most wireless dog fences are, but so far it was a good investment. (Posted on 11/19/2015)

  3. Not a bad fence. Wish it could keep more dogs on the system. Review by Harry P Conroy

I bought this fence because I didn't want to get a wire system that I would have to bury.
This one is rechargeable and works on an acre, which is just the amount of space I need.
I have a Motorola phone and know they've got a pretty good brand name. The fence was easy to setup and the staff of flexpets helped me with anything that confused me. I'm definitely not a pro here.
The only problem is that you're limited to 2 dogs on this fence. I have a pup I was going to add, but hopefully won't need her fenced in. Maybe she'll just stick with the other two.
I would probably recommend this fence to other dog owners. (Posted on 8/6/2015)

  4. This Motorola electric dog fence is great for roadtrips Review by Jay Schumer

Me and my wife take consistent road trips and bringing our dog was always a hassle since he would always run around all rv parks and cause havoc, now we can give him freedom and keep him at bay. This system truly is awesome (Posted on 7/27/2015)

  5. This system is awesome and a great investment for you and your dog. Review by Kelly H.

I am so happy that I took the advice of FlexPetz and purchased this product. It works very well and has been a great investment to my family. Motorola is a great company and has really delivered with this wireless fence. The range is great and the system is very easy to use. I wanted a system that would allow my dog to roam freely around the area surrounding my home. The setup is very simplistic and is easy to install. I am recommending this products to my friends and family. I am very pleased with the overall performance of the system. Simply, it works well. I am happy with the decision that I made, not to mention the expertise of FlexPetz. Thanks a million.

  6. Just used this past weekend Review by Harris Mangler

I used this over the weekend to take ziggy out with me for a good hike. During the times we put up camp I placed this system at use and it was very easy to operate and figure it all out. I was impressed at how well it worked and I would recommend this system to anyone who likes to bring their friend with them camping and such.

  7. Great Comping System Review by Jessica Yevonne

I bought this system for when I go camping. I have little red flags I bring along with me because my dog knows from our current fence at home from the training we have done in the past. My experience with this has actually given me a piece of mind now while at our camp site. Not only that it alerts others (the flags) that there is something within the boundary of the flags. I go camping at least 2 times a month and so far I am a very happy customer. I am glad this option is available and it is the way it is. No plug needed is a pretty awesome idea for something like this.

Comment / Questions about Motorola Wireless Dog Fence for Home and Travel

April 24, 2016

I've read several review on how well this works on the go camping ect. However for my use It would be a home system. The phrasing "line of sight" concerns me when it states the distance. Would this be able to keep a constant distance if the unit is set up in my home? Secondly the range adjustable

Hello Patrick,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
A base station is placed somewhere inside your home (has to be inside). The base station sends out a circular sphere signal around the property (strictly circular, you cannot change that). You can adjust the range anywhere from a 40 foot radius to as large as a 300 foot radius.
For many people, this does not work because the dog would be on the neighbor’s property, or out in the street (depending on your property).
Do you think this might be appropriate for you property?
Yes this system is meant to have a consent setup, in any location (home or travel).
Let me know if you have any further questions.

I need a unit that will run 24/7. My dog doesn't come in our house. Can this unit plug in to power outlet? Replacing batteries every 2 days is not what I want. Do you have other options?

I'm sorry. We do not recommend leaving a static correction fence collar on any dog 24 hours per day.
The contacts could cause irritation, which would typically lead to necrosis.

It's always recommended that you try to remove your dog's fence collar after 12 hours, or at the very least -Shift the position, so that the contacts are not making contact with the same spots on the dog's neck.

Please feel free to call us if you would care to discuss this in further detail.

My lot is heavily wooded (https://www.google.com/maps/place/1200+Sunset+Hills+Dr,+Lake+Orion,+MI+48360/@42.7646818,-83.2264732,145m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x8824ecebc9d99d5b:0x38d86329d59dc201!8m2!3d42.764694!4d-83.226059). This makes it impossible to bury a wire. Would something like this be effective? I am not worried about setting it to max range.

It may work. However, (by nature of the technology) wireless systems are much more prone to interference and signal loss than are wired systems. I can only say that it may or may not suit your needs.

If you wish for a wired system that you do not have to bury the wire on, I might suggest you take a look at our Pro Grade dog fences. You can run that wire above ground and still get 20 years or more performance from it.
You can view a video on running your wire above ground by clicking HERE.
I hope that information is helpful to you.
