The Hound Heater Deluxe Dog House Furnace can effectively maintain the heat in up to 32 cu. ft. of space but is also perfectly safe for smaller dog houses. The wall-mounted unit is completely safe and cool to the touch so your dog won't be burned if she brushes up against the unit. The Hound Heater Deluxe is thermostatically controlled so you can "set it and forget it". The heating element is user-replaceable and features a long 100,000-cycle lifetime. The Hound Heater Deluxe dog house furnace also features a 7 ft. cord with metal chew guard protection. The unit has an automatic safety shut-off to prevent overheating and external and intenal heat shields to ensure even and safe distribution of heat.

For the best results we recommend using your Hound Heater along with proper insulation and a dog door flap.

If you plan to use this dog house heater with an igloo-style dog house, we recommend using the special igloo dog house heater mounting bracket.

  1. Great Heater Highly recomended for winter months Review by David Derekson

This device is simply as a scaled down baseboard heater for your dog house. If you have a dog and for whatever reason he needs to be outdoors in the winter and you live in a cold weather state, this is a must have. I have a well insulated dog house and have set the thermostat to around 60 degrees. The temperature stays comfortably inside within about 4 degrees of this set point, regardless of the outside temperature. My dog loves his doghouse and sometimes its hard to call him out. I definitely recommend this heater, but make sure: The dog house is insulated and dry; (3) there's no draft (consider a flap to cover the door opening), It's actually a bit larger than it appears in the photos--so, make sure to measure to make sure it will fit. It is well built, quality product that I definitely expect to last a long time.

Do you recommend putting straw bedding in the dog house with the hound heater plugged in and running? I am using a open doored dog house.

The Heater is a very effective for keeping your pet warm during the cold winter months. It is safe to install with the straw but I would recommend get the wall mount to keep the unit away from the straw.

Your heater is awesome!

At the end of your video, it says, "your finished". It should be, "you're finished".

We live in central Texas. Our labs hate being inside. We adopted them last summer and tried bringing them inside. They both get too upset and crating them is a nightmare.

The labs have igloos. I will have to look for an igloo installation video.

Thank you for keeping critters warm!

Thank you very much for the feedback. We do sell many of these heaters during this season, and have never gotten a bad word back on them.
We're very glad we could assist in keeping your labs comfy and toasty this winter.
Your business is greatly appreciated, and all of us here at Flexpetz wish you the best and safest of holidays.
