- So much better than factory 20ga wire

I bought my petsafe stubborn dog kit and thought I could get away with the factory yellow 20ga wire. I knew I could buy the extreme 14ga wire but figured what the heck, and held off initially. During installation as we were pushing the wire in the ground and tacking it to the fence the shielding kept kinking or breaking thus exposing the copper. After 2 frustrating hours I ordered a 500' spool of this stuff. Received it 2 days later and was able to get the system installed on my .28 acres in less than 4 hours. Should have just bought this wire from the start. I ordered an extra 50' god forbid I ever have an issue or need to splice/repair. I just bought my first electric dog fence from here. The support was amazing. I started with very little knowledge as to what system to buy, how to install and how to train my pet. The tech covered all facets of the dog fence. The most enlightening aspect was what wire to use. The heavier extreme wire cost more so why do I need this? The tech explained that all wires function the same. The thicker wire with a heavier coating simple lasts longer in the ground without deterioration. I like to do a job once and be done so I opted for the extreme wire in the prograde package. I have a puppy and the life expectancy is 12 to 15 years, therefore I don't want to have wire break issues as he gets older.Price Quality Value

This Extreme electric dog fence wire is the best. I installed my fence almost two years ago and made the mistake of using the 20 gauge wire that came with the package. I have had several wire breaks over the past couple of months which are a pain to deal with. I wish I had known about FLEXPETZ.com and the Extreme brand electric dog fence wire sooner. They have a great video that shows you the difference in the wires and explains in common sense detail why it is worth spending a few extra dollars to upgrade. Obviously 10 times better than what I originally got with my dog fence kit, and Im sure it will last much longer, the spool is much heavier and a bit more difficult to work with, and is is definitely more pricey. (Posted on 6/14/2013)Price Quality Value - Hard Core Heavy Duty

i love this wire, I just replace my 14 year old Dog Watch wire with this stuff, My local Dog Watch dealer wanted over 700 dollars to re install a new wire from years of breaks. It took me about a day but it was definitely worth saving over 600 dollars. (Posted on 2/11/2012)Price Quality Value
