A German Shepherd, Gunther inherited his fortune from Gunther III, who received an inheritance from Karlotta Liebenstein after she died. His fortune continues to grow, as his money is invested in trust funds. Gunther has estates in the Bahamas, Germany and Italy and even owns a home in Miami that was once owned by Madonna. Gunther has his own servants, maids, a chauffeur and a personal chef. Second on the list of richest animals is Keiko, the whale. He is worth a whopping $36 million. Unlike the others on the list, Keiko earned his money and his fame. He was the star of the 1993 movie, Free Willy. Today his home is at a theme park. He received his fortune from payments and donations. Looks like Oprah Winfrey’s three dogs don’t ever have to worry about going hungry. Oprah reportedly has put her three dogs Luke, Layla and Gracie in her will for $30 million. The world’s richest cat is named Blackie. Worth $25 million, this cat was made rich after his owner Ben Rea passed away. It turns out that Rea gave all of her money to her cat, and none to any of her relatives. Blackie is so famous that he is even in the Guinness Book of World Records. Next on the list, is a Maltese Terrier named Trouble. He was made filthy rich in 2007 from Leona Helmsley, who was the wife of a New York City Hotel mogul, Harry Helmsley.
