Indoor dog fence Zones Barriers are small, usually wireless transmitter units that function like a mini electric dog fence system. These units are used to create exclusion or barrier zones to keep your dog out of certain areas of your house or yard. Both Indoor and Outdoor Zones Barriers are available and compatible with a variety of electric dog fence systems. If you don't already use or plan to use an electric dog fence system, you can purchase a Zones Barrier and Collar Kit. Most dog fence containment systems are compatablile with an indoor dog fence system, but you can also use an indoor pet fence without an existing dog fence system.
Some popular uses for Indoor dog Barriers include keeping pets off of furniture, blocking certain rooms of the home (without the use of a baby gate or other physical barrier), and keeping Rover from barreling through an open front door. Outdoor Zones Barriers are often used to keep pets out of swimming pools, away from flower or vegetable gardens, and to protect gates or other access points.
Indoor Zones Barriers are small disc-shaped units that are either battery operated or plug into a standard outlet for power. They transmit a wireless, size adjustable, circular boundary. Your dog's collar receives the signal and issues a warning tone if your dog nears the boundary and a static correction if he continues into the exclusion zone.
The Outdoor Zones Barriers are cunningly disguised as a rock so as to fit seamlessly into any outdoor landscape. Powered by batteries, the Outdoor Zone can function wirelessly, like the indoor zones, or in wired mode using buried wire to increase the boundary capacity and allow for a custom shape rather than a circle.
Each Zones Barrier is compatible with specific electric dog fence systems so be sure to check the compatibility list on each product if you plan to add the Zones to an existing system.
Stuborn dogs like huskies, beagless and Alaskin Mallemutes may require a more aggresive stubborn indoor dog fence.
